A good bartender knows when to put the brakes on a fast drinking guest, however, successful bar owners also know that a steady stream of drinks need to flow to remain a viable business. The Buzz Management session will expand the low alcohol drink repertoire of bartenders, allowing them to better serve their guests. Session participants will learn how to develop creative low alcohol drinks based on techniques from the golden era of the soda fountain (1880-1900) using bitters and ingredient like cognac oil. The goal is to create flavourful drinks in the low alcohol range that allows a guest to drink more without suffer the delirious effects of over-intoxication. Serving more drinks is better for business and the tip jar, while also taking into consideration the growing legal issues of excessive alcohol consumption.
