TICKET INFORMATION -- Tales of the Cocktail, a cocktail and culinary festival that celebrates the history and culture of dining and drinking in New Orleans, begins ticket sales on their website, www.TalesoftheCocktail.com, for the fifth anniversary event, July 18 – 22, 2007. The summer’s most spirited event, Tales of the Cocktail explores the history and contemporary life of the cocktail at various locations in the New Orleans French Quarter and remains headquartered at the legendary Hotel Monteleone.

Tales of the Cocktail features more than 50 separate ticketed events and also offers ticket packages online while supplies last. Special features include:

Purchase a ticket to any Tales of the Cocktail seminar or special event and receive complimentary wristbands for access to the Friday night after party “Sabor Puerto Rico! Coolest Coladas, Midnight Mojitos and more...at Republic Nightclub” and the “Taking it to the Streets After Party” presented by Heineken on Frenchman St. In addition, all Tales of the Cocktail ticket purchasers will receive a $20 Harrah’s New Orleans Casino entertainment gift card to be redeemed at 528, Bambu, Riche or Masquerade and a complimentary copy of In the Spirit: A Collection of Recipes from Tales of the Cocktail New Orleans.

The event’s annual components are Spirited Dinners, a Seminar Series, Cocktail Hour, Cocktail Luncheons, walking tours of the French Quarter, and classic and contemporary cocktail parties -- all presented by the country’s hottest chefs, authors, bartenders and cocktail experts. Tales of the Cocktail has “shaken and stirred” the New Orleans French Quarter since 2002, and celebrates its fifth anniversary in July 2007.
