Louis Anthony Giglio, Jr., known to the beverage world as Lou Giglio, passed away in October of 2006. Lou, a native and life-long resident of New Orleans, worked for the Brown-Forman Corporation most recently as the Global Brand Ambassador/Director of Hospitality for Southern Comfort. Because of his work with Southern Comfort and its roots in New Orleans, Lou worked with Ann Rogers and was a founding member of the New Orleans Culinary and Cultural Preservation Society. His interest and dedication to sharing the history of Southern Comfort and all spirits in New Orleans led to Southern Comfort’s sponsorship of the first year of Tales of the Cocktail and his involvement in getting the event off the ground was integral to the success it sees today.
Tales of the Cocktail salutes, toasts, raises its glass and mourns the loss of, Lou Giglio, a New Orleanian to the core with a spirit we will not forget.
Thank You, Lou. |
